I am a certified elementary (K-6) and special education (K-12) teacher with experience working in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. I have a master's degree in special education from Florida International University and I tutor grades K-12.

My tutoring style:

I believe that students learn best when having fun and understanding how the material can help them in their lives. I try to maximize the time I have with students by providing evidence-based strategies to help address misconceptions or misunderstandings. Still, I also adjust the pacing in order to scaffold instruction based on students' needs. I am passionate about education and strive to make my students feel empowered and confident in their ability to master the content after each tutoring session.

Success story:

My greatest success stories always come from students' parents. One of my favorite success stories came from the parent of a boy with Autism who I had previously worked with a year prior. His mom shared with me that she could still see a change in the student's confidence, social skills, and love for school after working with me. He is also now on the honor roll and nominated for the student of the month!
