About Me
I am a Computer Science tutor who has spent the past five years specializing in introductory level c++ (the c++ programming language) and C# programming (specifically as it is used in the Unity Game Engine). I have a Bachelor of Science from Southern Arkansas University and I tutor students from 5th grade to early college level.
Tutoring Style
I can be an unconventional teacher, preferring to use my experience in game development to give fun and engaging examples to familiarize my students with programming concepts. I can alter this approach as needed to fit the personality or the material of individual students over time. Though I prefer to start tutoring from a mindset of creativity.
Success Story
Even as my college education was still ongoing, I was tutoring less experienced students. I worked with several of the professors on campus to create engaging activities both inside and outside the classroom. In one class that had a number of struggling students, I was asked to guide them in creating a group project that ultimately bolstered their understanding of the subject matter and resulting in them all passing the class despite their previous struggles.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy both playing and designing video games, board games, and card games. I enjoy creative writing and I am a regular D&D player.
