About Me

I have been a full-time teacher for more than 10 years and have worked as a professional tutor for 19 years. My areas of specialty are math (all levels), biology, and test prep (SAT, PSAT, ACT, GED, ASVAB, HESI, ParaPro, etc.)

Tutoring Style

I am student-centered and generally adapt to students' needs. I try to be encouraging and patient. I love to share what I love about learning with others. I'm a realist but can set a high bar when needed.

Success Story

One student of mine went from a D in October to an A in December in her Dosage and Calculation class. In her first session, she said that she was "bad at math" and "never got it." She worked with me consistently for two months and got that grade up. Many years later, she was the first person in her family to attend college, and now she has her BSN.
