About Me

With over six years of tutoring experience and five years of classroom teaching in grades K-6, I am a certified educator well-versed in all core subjects, including ELA, math, science, and social studies, as well as social-emotional learning. I am passionate about guiding the next generation toward academic success and feel truly honored to contribute to their growth and development.

Tutoring Style

As a dedicated tutor, I am committed to fostering an enriching learning environment tailored to each student’s unique needs. My approach to teaching is rooted in differentiated instruction, ensuring that every lesson is adapted to match individual learning styles and abilities. With a deep sense of care and patience, I focus on guiding students through their academic journey, celebrating their progress, and providing the support necessary for their success. My goal is to build a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere where each student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is when I worked with a child who was in fifth grade and had recently moved to the United States from Nepal. Once a week I would meet with her to help her with her math homework. At first, she was very hesitant because she did not have the foundational skills to help her understand, and it would become frustrating for her. We worked on building her foundational skills so that she could feel more confident with the grade-level material. In time, she became more confident. She now loves math, and is doing very well!

Hobbies & Interests

In my free time, I cherish spending quality moments with my family, which includes my twin boys, my husband, and our dog. Whether we’re hiking together on scenic trails or simply enjoying each other's company, these moments are precious to me. I also have a passion for teaching in my classroom, where I find joy in being with my classroom full of students. I also love experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and baking delicious treats!
