About Me

I am a certified elementary school teacher with a license to teach in Pennsylvania, Mississippi, and North Carolina. I have had the privilege to teach math, reading, social studies, and science to young learners in multiple different states, grades K-8. I am a former 5th-grade math teacher and currently teaching 2nd grade in North Carolina. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Grove City College.

Tutoring Style

I am an energetic, fun-loving teacher. I am very passionate about helping children of all ages grow and develop a positive outlook on their success and goals. I adapt my teaching style to each student. I understand every student learns things in different ways and I make it my goal to make learning positive, enjoyable, and accessible to all students. Music is one of my favorite learning tools!

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories happened last year in my 2nd-grade class. I had a student who was reading less than 10 words a minute. I worked with him daily and provided daily challenges to keep him motivated about his progress. Within 3 weeks, he went from reading less than 10 words a minute to 67 words per minute! He now has a more positive outlook on his ability to read and reads with confidence!
