About Me

I’m a former Mathematics Teacher, Business Owner, and MBA with twenty years of experience teaching students privately and publicly in the classroom and online. I specialize in math, test prep, business, and reading& writing for grades 6 - graduate. I started tutoring my freshman year of college to pay for degrees in Accounting, Actuarial Science & Mathematics, and an MBA with a concentration in Finance.

Tutoring Style

I have innovative teaching techniques, a vibrant personality, and the ability to bridge the mental gaps that are so commonly held by our students. I not only know the material: I know how to effectively communicate the lesson. Most importantly, I love what I do.

Success Story

I have several success stories through the years: many of my SAT students have earned the National Merit Scholarship with test scores in the top 1%. However, one of my favorite success stories is when I led a small class of determined “underprivileged kids” to an average test score in the top 10 %.

Hobbies & Interests

I like to do a lot of things: I cook, garden, and work out at the gym regularly. I also enjoy playing basketball, golf, or anything competitive at the beach or in the backyard. Most of all, I like hanging out with my family.
