I am a certified teacher with over 7 years of experience. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, and I tutor grades 4th - 8th.

My tutoring style:

I am a teacher who believes that learning should be fun. I am versatile, creative, and passionate about growing as you learn. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of my students and value pacing as my students need and prefer in order to meet them at their level. I ensure retention of learning by reviewing topics we have learned consistently until the student feels fully confident and succeeds in the topic easily.

Success story:

I had a student that I tutored who had previously been retained in the 4th grade and was now in the 5th grade but desperately wanted to be in her actual grade which would be 6th. Through rigorous and intentional tutoring especially on the foundations of reading and algebraic thinking. The student was able to return to their normal grade by passing an entrance exam to show their proficiency in reading and math. I was elated to see this student move on to the next grade. This student is now in high school and has remained on grade level since with no retention.

Traveling all over the world, watching movies, going to the gym. Reading books and trying new foods.
