About Me

I have been tutoring and mentoring for 6 years, helping students through various levels of math, physics, and chemistry. I have a bachelor's degree in physics focused on applied mathematics with a concentration in education from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I love helping any student develop their passion and understanding for any level of physics and math from the middle school level through the upper levels of college.

Tutoring Style

I am a patient and adaptable tutor, and I focus on students' understanding of underlying concepts. I like to appeal to a student's individual learning style, and I often find myself learning from their unique perspectives. I like to review and enforce concepts while building connections to newer concepts so everything connects well for the student.

Success Story

I once mentored a girl who was struggling with the advanced introduction to physics course at MIT, and through several meetings we worked on the underlying math concepts that were holding her back. Over time she was able to improve her grade to an A in the class, as well as get a greater understanding of what concepts were especially interesting to her. I ran into her at one of the graduation ceremonies, and she had successfully graduated with a double major in math and physics and went on to pursue graduate school.

Hobbies & Interests

I love to cook new recipes for my family and spend time with my dog, Cassie. I often find myself reading comic books or working on individual coding projects to pass the time. I'm a lifelong learner, and I love to learn about interesting new discoveries or challenges in physics and mathematics.
