About Me

I'm a doctor of education with 14 years of experience teaching English and English-related subjects across five countries. I'm certified to teach secondary English, English as a second language, and reading K-12 in Florida. I've also taught AP Capstone (AP Seminar and AP Research), AICE Language, and college test prep (SAT and ACT).

Tutoring Style

I'm an animated teacher who enjoys teaching English. I love giving analogies and breaking down hard topics. When a student is struggling, I find out what they know, and then from there, I help them fill in the gaps of knowledge they need to excel.

Success Story

I was working with senior students who were at risk of not graduating because they had not met the state's SAT score requirement. One of the students had been in the US for less than two years, so he was still just learning English when he was expected to take the SAT and score decently! I worked with him one-on-one and in small groups for months, and by the end of the school year, he scored the same as his peers who were native English speakers! He was able to graduate.
