About Me

I am an experienced math educator with over 11 years of teaching experience as well as over 15 years of tutoring experience. I have a Bachelor's in Pure Mathematics and a Master's in Education both from UCLA.

Tutoring Style

I am passionate about teaching mathematics and through my experience, I ensure that the student understands the concepts and topics being reviewed. I go through each problem in detail, making sure the student understands what is being asked and reviewing all vocabulary before trying it out together.

Success Story

One of my tutoring success stories was when I came across a student who was failing Algebra 1 due to a concussion during football in the 9th grade. He had missed months of school and with 6 weeks left in the second semester, he was failing. I was able to meet with him twice a week and practice all the concepts on the assessments he was allowed to retake. He retook 2 assessments and scored over 92% on both of them which led him to pass the class with a C!
