About Me

I am a certified teacher with over 12 years of classroom experience teaching high school math. I have taught classes ranging from basic skills to pre-calculus and everything in between. I have also been tutoring over 10 years to students in middle and high school.

Tutoring Style

I am an excited and engaging tutor. I enjoy getting to know my students both academically and personally to create better connections and trust with them. Additionally, I take the time to understand where the students are academically and then build off of their current skills. I ask a lot of questions to guide the session and make the students talk more than myself to understand their understanding of the concepts.

Success Story

I was tutoring a student in pre-calculus who was struggling with the topic- it was graphing trig functions. I was able to break it down and show them how to graph with different cues which really helped them. They took their test and got an A! They were so excited and was the best grade they got in math.

Hobbies & Interests

I spend a lot of time with my two-year-old son. We go to the gym, and the pool, and spend a lot of time outside and reading. I also really enjoy cooking and baking!
