About Me

I have ten years of experience teaching secondary math in Texas including 8th grade math, Algebra I, Statistics, and AP Statistics. I also have many years of experience tutoring students. I have a master's degree in mathematics from West Texas A&M University.

Tutoring Style

I am a warm and inviting teacher who loves nothing more than helping students make sense of math. I adjust to the needs of my students, looking for new ways to explain things when they need it. I take as long as it takes to ensure my student masters the concepts.

Success Story

One of my favorite stories is of a young man that I worked with recently who had never passed a STAAR test in math before. We would work together several times a week. We worked on basic skills and calculator strategies to help him get ready for his Algebra I STAAR. Celebrating with him after we found out he passed was such an amazing feeling.

Hobbies & Interests

Walking my dogs. I have four large dogs. I sponsor the Student Council at the school where I teach. I spend a lot of time working with them and helping them thrive and grow.
