I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Cambridge, UK and I tutor grades 9 - College. I find mathematics and computer science to be both fascinating and inspiring, and I am eager to share this knowledge and enthusiasm with students.
My tutoring approach is relaxed and encouraging, fostering a positive learning environment. I believe in guiding students with hints rather than providing direct answers, which helps them develop critical thinking skills. Additionally, I excel at creating relatable examples and analogies to make complex concepts easier to understand.
One of my students was preparing for a college admission exam that included 6 pure math questions, 3 mechanics questions, and 3 statistics questions, with candidates required to answer 6 out of the 12. Initially, this student lacked confidence in mechanics and statistics and decided to focus solely on pure math. I encouraged him to consider more options, emphasizing the relationships and analogies between different areas of math. I helped him transfer his knowledge and skills to those less familiar subjects. In the exam, two pure math questions were unusually difficult, so he chose two other questions and ultimately received his offer.
I love playing video games, especially puzzle games. I also enjoy playing badminton.
