I have a B.S. in Elementary Education, M.S. Ed., in Curriculum and Instruction, and an AAT. I have been a certified educator since 2015. I have taught both seated and virtual classes from pre-k through grade twelve since 2015. I have worked on a variety of learning platforms to best assist families. I love working with students of all grade levels and abilities. If I had to choose a grade that is my favorite... I love all things literacy for all grade levels! But, I also thoroughly enjoy all content and grade levels.
I am a kind, bubbly, and welcoming teacher to all of my students and their families. I am adaptable, trustworthy, and dependable. I love creating a positive and safe learning environment for my students! I believe in meeting students where they are and offering scaffolding to support them as they learn. I offer students the safety confidence and security in our sessions to ask questions, express confusion, and seek out answers! My goal is each student's success and confidence!
One of my favorite success stories is when I assisted an eighth-grade student overcome her confusion and lack of confidence while working through her math homework. When I first began working with her, she had about 45% in her class. By the time summer rolled around, she had brought her grade up to 88%! I was so proud of her! She was able to pass her math class and start her high school career off to great success! She is now doing college algebra and flourishing!
I have two young daughters, am married, and have a variety of pets at home. I love to crochet, journal, read, and spend time outside! I love attending educational seminars and conferences to learn more and stay up-to-date. I love building Legos with my daughters, making art projects with them, and spending time with family.
