I am a teacher at heart and by trade! I teach online English/Language Arts courses at a university and tutor students from Pre-K to College level. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Oral Roberts University and a Master’s degree in Reading from Northeastern State University.

My tutoring style:

I love honing in on teachable moments. I believe it is important as a tutor to build a positive rapport from the start and build on what the student already knows to increase his/her confidence. I believe I would be an asset to your student & family, whether I am serving as a tutor, a homework-helper, or a facilitator of your child's education.

Success story:

I had a student who has ADHD and Dyslexia. He struggled with all subjects. We were working on spelling words which are especially difficult for him. I got out a set of plastic magnetic letters and had him spell the words out with the letters, then write them on paper. As he did each step, I also had him spell the word aloud and then read it. Then, I gave him a practice test on paper and he got 100%! He was beyond thrilled and so proud of himself. We continued to have success after success just like this one.
