I am a former teacher with more than 15 years of experience teaching Spanish, English, French, and Social Sciences. I have a bachelor's degree from Boston University, and I tutor grades 3 through College.
I love learning and sharing knowledge. I believe anyone can learn anything as long as you find a way to make it interesting. I like to match my student's energy, and find new ways to access knowledge. I am passionate about languages and new forms of communication. Being able to access new cultures through languages, and figuring out how to get our ideas across is the reason I teach. I demand the best from students, because I know they are capable and will work together to ensure their success.I tut
I tutored a high school senior in South Korea whose goal was to be accepted into an American university. He had signed up to take AP classes and the SAT by the summer. I began working with him in January, he had gotten C's in his AP Lang essays and was not receiving the scores necessary to be accepted directly into universities in the US. By the time we ended our sessions, he got a 5 in the AP exam and was accepted into Northwestern University!
I live in Southern California, so I love going to the beach and hiking. I am an avid reader from Horror to non-fiction. I am also a writer and wrote for comedy theaters in Chicago.
