About Me

I am a certified math teacher with six years of classroom experience in teaching mathematics. I hold a master's degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and have been tutoring since 2014. I am well-versed in the 6th to 9th grade math curriculum and effective teaching methods tailored to engage students and enhance their understanding.

Tutoring Style

I have an approachable personality and love to motivate my students to engage in their math learning. I break down math problems into easy steps for students to follow but also let them become more independent problem solvers. I love to see my students grow and gain confidence in math.

Success Story

One year at a student-parent meeting, a parent came up to me to thank me for building her child's confidence in math. She had always been struggling in math but she improved a lot in my class. I always break down the steps for my students and teach them the strategies to solve the problems efficiently. In addition, I will have one-on-one conversations with them to help them set their goals in math. I constantly give positive feedback to students to keep them motivated. In the end, she improved greatly in her state assessment.
