My many years of professional management and teaching awards me an edge over traditional tutoring. I know how to explain concepts in a variety of ways and to make the material relatable to real life. I have a master’s degree in business administration from the University of the People and I tutor grades 2-College.

My tutoring style:

Through my many years of experience I have developed a teaching style that enables me to connect to the students. I take the mundane material and turn it into a relatable exciting exploration of the world around us. I currently instruct students who were nervous, unsure, and reticent to embrace the material and now look forward to the sessions. I find that teaching is so much more than memorizing and repeating. I teach students to not only improve their current skills but to also navigate through self-directed teaching and test taking. The skills I reinforce are study skills, test taking skills, analytical skills; life skill.

Success story:

I currently have a student who was failing Alg II. Within a month we were able to turn her grade around to a solid B. My test prep students have all seen large improvements on their scores and their test taking skills. One example is an ACT student who went from a 22 to a 34 after 6 weeks of instruction. I have another student who feared math and openly cried with frustration. That student is now in 7t grade and has moved into an excelled math class and now loves math.
