I have taught and tutored grades 6-12 for more than 15 years in AP/IB/Cambridge A level, IGCSE, Minerva Baccalaureate, and SAT/ACT subjects. I am also an IB Examiner, which gives me an advantage in preparing students for many standardized exams. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration from New Jersey City University.

My tutoring style:

My approach varies according to what subject I am tutoring. I identify and connect with the student first, letting them know that I am there for them as a support system, making them feel comfortable. Once this has been established I do everything possible to instill the confidence they need to move forward. I believe confidence is a key factor to success and I enjoy working with students to get them to this point.

Success story:

Recently I had a student who suffered from a bad case of anxiety. He was clinically diagnosed and given special privileges for school and SAT exams. There was a point where he would contact me in a panic attack, not being able to breathe because his test date was soon approaching. After speaking with his parents I was able to calm him down and give him that confidence he needed. It was a big challenge, but he was able to take the SAT and come out with a 1600 perfect score. This was a great and memorable day for both of us.
