I have more than 10 years of experience teaching English, math, and science to learners of all ages. I am committed to helping my students reach their full potential. I am a Doctor of Pharmacy from Campbell University and I tutor grades PreK-College.

My tutoring style:

As an educator, I believe in engaging with my students frequently by encouraging them to express their opinions and gain confidence in the subject matter. I always provide immediate and positive feedback to help them improve. My aim is to challenge my students in a comfortable and safe learning environment. I welcome questions and repetition, as I want my students to feel that they have a solid understanding of the concepts we cover.

Success story:

During the 2022-2023 academic year, I provided assistance to Miley R., a fifth-grade student who was performing at a third-grade level in reading and writing. I helped her with various assignments by reviewing her work and providing live feedback, pointing out what worked well in her writing and what needed improvement. As a result, Miley's reading level has improved to a sixth-grade level, and her assessment scores have shown significant improvement since last year.

Hobbies and interests:

When I'm not tutoring, you can find me singing classic karaoke songs like Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" and Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know," as well as many hits by Michael Jackson. I also love to read and create commentary videos in my free time. Additionally, I volunteer at my local animal shelter to help animals in need.
