About Me

I am a certified math teacher with 6+ years of experience at the middle school level. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Kinesiology; however, my dream job has always been to teach middle school math.

Tutoring Style

My teaching philosophy is to help students work hard, be nice, and develop a sense of belonging. I enjoy making math fun and less intimidating for middle school students. I hope to make math simple and increase a student's confidence level in their math abilities.

Success Story

An 8th grade student came to tutoring at the beginning of the spring semester. She had recently transferred to a new school and was behind in her new math class. After working with me weekly, her confidence quickly improved and her grade went from a C to an A. The next year she earned the Algebra 1 award at her high school.

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy spending time with my family doing any outdoor activity including walking, hiking, biking, working out, and traveling. I also enjoy bouldering and playing with our dog Hopper.
