About Me

I am a special education certified educator with 6 years of experience in classrooms teaching math and humanities to secondary school students. I have both my bachelor's and master's degrees in education. Outside of the classroom, I have tutored students from the 3rd grade to college level.

Tutoring Style

I am an enthusiastic and passionate educator grounded in research on best practices. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of my students by incorporating various types of activities, pacing changes, and respecting students' needs for fun brain breaks, too. I have worked with families and schools to preteach and reteach skills so students can enter their classrooms feeling confident and ready to show what they know!

Success Story

I tutored a 7th-grade student who was 3 years below grade level in math--by the end of the school year, she'd grown 2 grade levels. I remember speaking with her mother when her end-of-year report returned with an improved math grade and a passing grade-level math assessment. I was so proud!
