I am a Highly Exceptional and experienced tutor, I have a very versatile portfolio with the subjects I can tutor. I have 8 years of experience tutoring Math, Science, and Chess for students of all ages. I have a bachelor's degree from Georgia State University.
I am an energetic, upbeat, passionate, informative tutor about the content I teach. I am very adept to all personalities so I always make sure each student feel's comfortable, while enjoying the information. I make sure to move at the student's pace, I believe each session is based on balance of communication from both the student and tutor. I make sure each of my students knows as much about their information from the concept to the history.
Now having over 5 years of experience in test prep working with both the princeton review as well as college-board teaching programs, I have facilitated the growth of many students on Both SAT and ACT. My Success story will be about a student I met who originally took the ACT when they were in 7th grade and scored an overall score of 19, then before meeting me took the test again and scored a 20. After meeting daily, coming up with and developing a study and pacing schedule, going over areas of improvements, discussing the importance of confidence in choosing your answer and how to build focus through forcing self-discipline,(since the test is 3 hours roughly). The student score raised over 10 points in Math, 8 points in Science, 13 points in Reading, and 7 Points in Writing finishing off with an overall score of 33. The goal was a 36(which is the goal for all students I tutor ACT for) but the student needed a 21 for college, in which they had no issues since they soar past that number with flying colors.
When I am not tutoring I am spending time with my wife, daughter, and cat. They are my pride and joy. Outside of family I spend all my time watching stand-up comedy, financial literacy videos, investing in any asset, reading books, and lastly chess.
