I got my degree in mathematics from UC Berkeley, where I also earned my teaching credential and ran a tutoring business. College life at Berkeley was a blast and helped me grow immensely. The campus's diversity was incredible, and I met amazing people from all corners of the globe. It was an exciting journey full of learning, personal growth, and unforgettable friendships!
My teaching style starts with building a genuine connection with my students, showing them that I'm a human being who makes mistakes too-as we all do. I love to keep the atmosphere positive and fun, using tons of encouragement to boost their confidence. Kindness and patience are my go-tos, and I make sure to cheer for every little success along the way. Learning should be enjoyable, and I aim to make every lesson feel like fun!
One of my most rewarding experiences involved working with a shy middle school student who struggled with math. By building a strong relationship with her and encouraging her to roleplay as the teacher, she began to gain confidence. Teaching me the lessons not only improved her understanding but also boosted her self-esteem. As a result, her math skills improved significantly, and so did her grades. This transformation was a testament to the power of personalized support which is what I strive to develop for each student
When I am not teaching, I love to travel, practice Spanish, and play with my 2 cats. I love the color pink, and spicy food. Hot Cheetos are my favorite snack ever!!!
