I am a tutor with over a decade of experience tutoring math, English, literature, philosophy, essay writing, and test prep. I have a Master's degree from Holy Apostles College, and I tutor grades 4 to College-level.

Tutoring Style:

I am convinced that learning is rooted both in the ability to think for oneself and in a real interest in the subject matter. Thus, I aim to facilitate the learning process, firstly through the cultivation of critical thinking skills and secondly through inspiring my students to take delight in learning. Furthermore, I adapt my tutoring style to the needs of my students, and I constantly aim to engage, inspire, and induce reflection.

Success Story:

One of my favorite success stories is when I helped a university student achieve excellence in his essay writing. I started helping him with his essay writing half-way through his degree; he was really struggling with cohesion and clarity in his writing. So, we met several times a month after that, and by the time he graduated, he was consistently receiving A's on his papers and assignments!

Hobbies & Interests:

When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, playing the piano, writing stories and poetry, listening to music, and playing chess.
