Ricky

I am a certified Chemistry teacher that has taught at the High School and Collegiate Level. I have a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi and taught at William Carey University for 9 years. I was also the Chair of the Chemistry Department there for several years. I enjoy tutoring grades 5th- College.

My tutoring style:

I am a caring teacher that truly enjoys seeing students grasp difficult topics with ease. I attempt to teach at a level that anyone can follow and adapt my tutoring style to the needs of the individual student.

Success story:

One of my favorite success stories was when I helped a high school student who was failing Chemistry. After several sessions, he began to understand the material and brought his F up to a B for the semester. He accomplished this by making A's on all of the test that he took while I was tutoring him. It was a great joy to see him go from a hard working but frustrated student to one who thrived in the chemistry classroom.

Hobbies and interests:

I enjoy playing many sports like baseball, basketball, and football. I played baseball while in college and have coached baseball, basketball, and football. I also love to fish. My favorite pastime is spending quality time with my wife and 3 boys.
