About Me

I have ten years of 1-on-1 tutoring experience helping students from second grade through adult age. Through that experience, I've tutored students on standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, and I've also tutored in math topics ranging from elementary school math to calculus.

Tutoring Style

I focus on individual styles of teaching. Everyone has a unique way of understanding material, and I enjoy helping students find that way- as well as learning new ways of understanding content myself! Through my individualized teaching, I make sure we focus on examples related to the topic as well as foundational material. My goal is to make sure a student demonstrates mastery of a subject.

Success Story

One student I tutored for the SAT initially came in with low self-confidence but a high desire to succeed in achieving a high score for the SAT. Based on her earlier standardized test scores, we worked on questions that focused on topics she initially wasn't sure about, and we discussed key methods to answer certain questions. These sessions took place once a week over three months, and when the student took the SAT, she achieved a score of 1450!
