About Me

I am a certified Middle School Mathematics classroom teacher. I have taught 6th, 7th, and Algebra in the classroom for three years. I have five years of tutoring experience, tutoring in math from 4th-grade math to Algebra. I have a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Mathematics and a Master of Science in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology from Western Governors University.

Tutoring Style

I'm very energetic and love teaching math in ways that relate to real life or with other visual examples. I'm very flexible and work to make math enjoyable while working through it. I will ensure you feel confident with whatever you need help with by changing lessons based on your needs!

Success Story

My favorite success story is helping a student work from being 3-grade levels behind in math to being at standard in 4th-grade-level math. We used Fortnite in tons of examples, and they barely noticed they were learning math, which made it a lot of fun. By closing the gap in their knowledge they felt happier and more excited to be in their math classes!

Hobbies & Interests

When not teaching, I love playing video games and watching TV/Anime. Whether platformers or competitive games, I love to enjoy playing with friends in whatever way! I also love hiking and going on nature walks when I have free time.
