About Me

I am an Associate Professor at a community college with more than a decade of experience teaching there. I have a master's degree from the University of Akron and I tutor Kindergarten through College.

Tutoring Style

I am a laid-back teacher. I am very patient and lenient. I tutor mostly by asking questions of the students to help them get closer and closer to the
information that they need.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories was when I helped a college student pass his final math class after he had previously failed it a couple of times. I related the material to the things that he was passionate about (chess and boxing) and he was able to pass the standardized test at the end. He now owns his own business.

Hobbies & Interests

I like watching my daughters play softball and soccer. I also enjoy football and baseball. I am a middle school wrestling coach which keeps me busy, and I once placed at the IBJJF World Championships.
