I am a certified teacher with over 17 years of experience teaching math. I am also a certified Adult Educator with ICCB (Illinois Community College Board.)

Tutoring Style

I am flexible and responsive to the needs of the students I tutor. I will present problems in a variety of ways to ensure that learners understand the material. My primary goal is to ensure the success of each and every student.

Success Story

One of my most memorable success stories is when I was tutoring a 12th-grade student in Trigonometry. He was severely behind on his assignments and was in danger of not being able to graduate. Together, we developed a long-term plan and also weekly goals for progress monitoring. I tutored the students 2-3 times per week, focusing deliberately on skills and concepts where he was struggling the most. At the end of our 3-month tutoring arrangement, he passed his class with a B+ and was able to graduate.
