Throughout my career, I’ve been told by parents and students that I tutor in a way that just makes sense. I have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in education from Purdue University. I teach and tutor students in grades 6-12.
My greatest strengths include inspiring and motivating students to learn and truly understand math. I have been very successful at accommodating diverse students’ needs by facilitating all styles of teaching, offering individualized support and integrating effective online materials. I am very accessible when students and parents reach out for help. I place a huge emphasis on building relationships with my students. My students know how much I care for each and every one of them.
A father once approached me and said, “My daughter does not like math. I’m giving you 4 weeks to help her create a love for math and to truly understand the topics.” At the end of the first week, the father emailed me and said, “You work fast!!! My daughter is really loving your class. Thank you so much!!” This email made my day. Experiences like this is why I tutor! I love math and I love my students!
Half-marathons, camping, fishing, skiing, and most important running the Tough Mudder every year with my children.
