I have been a certified Math teacher for 25+ years. I have also been tutoring math for about 15 years.

Tutoring Style

I love helping students have a better understanding of their math class. My job is to give them the confidence they need to be successful in their class. I usually go through any assignments they are working on at the time and when they come to something they are having trouble with, we stop and take the time to understand it better.

Success Story

I had a high school Trigonometry student with an IEP who was really struggling. Once I understood how his IEP worked, we sat down and really worked on how to write out a note card he was able to have for a test. We would do that for every test. I ran into his parents after he had graduated and they told me the reason he was doing so well in college was because I had taught him how to study.
