I have years of experience tutoring math, science, and computer science at the high school and college level. I have a master's degree in computer engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and I tutor grades 8-College.
I am a rather jovial, nerdy, and humor-driven personality and I like to incorporate it into my teaching. I feel like the most important thing you need to establish with a new student is a sense of comfort (so they aren't scared to not know something) and confidence (so they know they can learn anything. My lessons focus on demystifying difficult concepts, establishing what a student needs to know about a subject, and a whole lot of practice. I also like to take the time to figure out a student's learning style and I have gotten pretty good at it.
My favorite success story just closed out recently. One of the students I tutored from her intro to engineering class just graduated with a bachelor's in Computer Engineering. During her first semester in engineering, she came in unable to write a single line of code. She attended all my office hours and ended the class with and A.
For fun, I like to watch tv and play games. I also enjoy cooking, soccer, and hanging out with friends. I'm more of a nerd so I enjoy anime, cosplay, Star Wars, The Marvel Universe, etc. I am also African and am a big fan of the English Premier league. I also love afro-beats (Nigerian Music).
