I am a dedicated math tutor and former math teacher who has been passionately educating students since 2016. With a deep commitment to personalized education, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each student. I excel at identifying gaps in mathematical understanding and employ a variety of teaching methods to ensure that all students grasp the concepts, especially when traditional methods fall short. My goal is to help students build strong foundational skills, enabling them to succeed in their mathematical pursuits.

My tutoring style:

My tutoring style is relaxed yet focused, and I usually come in with a flexible plan to keep the session flowing smoothly. I like to kick things off with a quick review of what we covered last time, then dive into modeling a concept the student is still working on. We’ll wrap up by addressing any questions the student has about their current schoolwork. This approach keeps our sessions dynamic and responsive to the student's needs.

Success story:

I once worked with a student in a small group setting at a local elementary school. She was heading into grade 5 but was only performing at a kindergarten level. A big part of her struggle was her reluctance to show her classmates that she didn't understand, so she often chose not to try at all. By helping her see her progress as something to be proud of, we built up her confidence, and she started engaging more in her studies. After just one year, she was working at grade level and ready for middle school!
