I am a certified math teacher with over 18 years experience in the math classroom and math tutoring. I received my math degree from Southern Utah University and my master's in Online Education from Southern New Hampshire University. I tutor grades 6-12th.

Tutoring Style:

I am a fun and adaptable teacher. I will adjust my teaching style to match that of my student by breaking down steps, going slower or faster as needed, and relate to the real-world when I can. I encourage students to think of themselves as math scholars who can do any mathematics placed before them.

Success Story:

One of my favorite success stories is when I had a student and parent come to me at the beginning of the school saying the student had just exited out of the special education classroom and was nervous coming back into the general education classroom. I was aware of the student throughout all my lessons and answered any questions that she had. She went on to get straight A's in my class and in future math classes.

Hobbies & Interests:

When I am not tutoring, I like to read books like Harry Potter, Hunger Games or Divergent. I also try to watch some comedy and action movies. I like to take my dogs (3 yorkies) for walks, especially on the trail by my house. And I like to hang out with my family.
