I am a certified teacher with years of experience in classrooms and online teaching math, English, social studies, science, and English as a second language to students of all ages. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix, a master's degree from Grand Canyon University, and I am a Ph.D. candidate at Capella University. I tutor grades K-College.
I am an enthusiastic teacher, and I am passionate about the topics I teach. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of my student, going slow and repeating myself if needed or jumping to meet their level. I enforce the topics we learn together by reviewing them until the student passes with flying colors.
I have many success stories that I could share because I have helped numerous students improve their grades, English learners improve their fluency, and students of all ages achieve their goals. Of these stories, one of my favorites is when I helped a student prepare for entrance exams so that she could attend graduate school. Now, she is about to complete her degree, and she is preparing to begin her career.
My hobbies include reading, hiking, and writing. Also, I am an avid movie watcher, and I enjoy playing many types of games. Additionally, I love listening to music, singing, and playing piano. Other interests I enjoy (when time allows) include baking, cooking, photography, gardening, and cross-stitching.
