I am a dynamic tutor with years of experience in classrooms teaching math, English, and ESL. I have taught/tutored students in the United States and Europe along with some children in China. I have a Bachelor's degree from Woodbury University and I tutor grades 1st-7th.
I am an innovative tutor. I enjoy finding multiple ways to solve one problem. I adapt this approach to my students because I understand that not everyone learns the same way. I try to compartmentalize topics so students don't feel overwhelmed and success is more probable.
One of my favorite success stories is when my student understood the multiplication of fractions in multi-step problems. The problems I was assigning were enormous but I showed my students how to break the problems into smaller problems and make the workload manageable. The problems required a lot of focus and took at least 5 minutes to complete but the students displayed patience and achieved success.
I love running and being outdoors. I enjoy being in the city but equally love being in nature, preferably the mountains.
