My name is Mrs. Ajoke Butler and I am a highly qualified elementary and middle school teacher. I have more than twenty years of experience in the educational field and have over 120 graduate credits in the field of counseling.
I want to take the time to give you some insight into the type of teacher and individual I am. To begin, I am a proud mother of four beautiful children; two boys and two girls. I am a fun-loving individual who loves to learn and teach. I consider myself a very reflective person who strives to learn from every situation whether positive or negative. I believe it is imperative with each year that passes I become a better teacher than the year before. I am a very skilled, diligent, and efficient worker who believes organization, structure, and discipline are paramount when instructing. Lastly, I have a budding and endless passion for music, dance, and theatre, which I often attempt to incorporate into my instruction delivery.
One success story I would like to share is about a time when I worked with an 8th-grade math student. Historically, this student did not do well in math class but after working with her for over four months her grade and content knowledge increased dramatically. She went on to make the honor roll later that school year, and began, in her own words, to "love math, for the first time in a long time".
Some of my hobbies and interests are listening to music, spending quality time with my family, eating, and dancing.
