About Me

I am a passionate graduate student in mathematics with five years of tutoring experience as a teaching assistant, tutor, and supplemental instructor at various colleges and universities. I have a bachelor's in pure mathematics from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and can tutor grades 6-College.

Tutoring Style

I am a patient teacher, always looking for ways to make math exciting and fun! I carefully read my students to determine what teaching methods work best for them and adjust constantly to fit their needs and experience levels. During lessons, I tie content to visual, verbal, and written demonstrations to give students a multifaceted handle on the material and boost their confidence and understanding.

Success Story

During my time as a teaching assistant, I would often help many university students. In a college algebra class, I had a student with a strong background in mathematics, they were always coming to me for further questions and constantly pushing themselves to improve. We met weekly at office hours where I would challenge him with harder and harder problems, fostering advanced mathematical thinking and strategies. Eventually, he would become one of the top students in the class.

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy reading and watching science fiction and fantasy works like Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and Tron. I also play video games and board games, and I like listening to music.
