About Me

I have nearly a decade of experience teaching and tutoring math at all levels ranging from middle school to college, including teaching my college-level courses. I have both a bachelor's and a master's degree in math.

Tutoring Style

A lot of my tutoring style involves lots of questions and practice. I prefer to learn by doing, so I like to go over lots of examples and give my students a chance to try things on their own before intervening when needed. I know my students are capable of great things in math, and I think of myself as a guide to get them there.

Success Story

When I was teaching a Calculus III class, one of my students came to me about halfway through the semester asking for extra help, since he was struggling with the class. We met multiple times per week, including outside of regular office hours, where I was able to give him some extra practice. The extra sessions helped him a lot and he was eventually able to raise his grade from below passing to a B+!

Hobbies & Interests

Outside of tutoring, I like to play guitar and skateboard! I'm also a big reader.
