About Me

I've been a math instructor at a 2-year college for more than a decade and I have a Master of Science in Mathematics from the College of Charleston. I tutor grades 9 through College.

Tutoring Style

Many students have anxiety when it comes to math so the first thing I try to do is create a relaxed atmosphere. Every student has different learning styles so I adapt my teaching style to the needs of the student. Also, I'm a big believer in the idea that to learn math you have to do math so expect to do a lot of examples if you work with me!

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is when I helped a university student in his Calc 1 class. He struggled with math but with my encouragement and lots of examples, he not only got through the class but ended up with a B!

Hobbies & Interests

In my spare time, I like running, playing guitar, watching college football, and spending time with my wife and kids.
