I am a dedicated tutor with over five years of experience helping students build confidence in math and science. I hold a bachelor's degree in Physics with a concentration in Astrophysics and have additional expertise in climate science, sustainability, engineering, and project management. I tutor K-College students, creating engaging and supportive learning experiences.

Tutoring Style:

I am an understanding and enthusiastic educator, passionate about exploring math and science concepts in a curious and approachable way. My teaching style emphasizes an assets-based approach that builds on learners' strengths, fosters active engagement through investigation and connection to the material, and reframes concepts to have cultural and personal relevance. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident, empowered, and excited to explore new ideas. By nurturing curiosity and confidence, I aim to help students develop a lasting appreciation for math and science beyond the classroom.

Success Story:

One of my favorite success stories is helping a shy fifth-grade student build confidence in both math and collaborative learning. During the pandemic, many elementary students struggled with the transition to fully remote learning, requiring extra support for intensive curriculum sections. When we first began tutoring, this student hesitated to express answers and found fraction and decimal operations particularly challenging. Through our weekly sessions over a single term, they became more comfortable explaining problems to classmates and reviewing previous topics with ease. By the time they transitioned into middle school, their teacher noted a significant improvement in both math proficiency and classroom confidence, reflecting the student’s growth beyond just academics.

Hobbies & Interests:

When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy hiking, road-tripping, rock climbing, practicing yoga, and playing pick-up soccer with friends. In my free time, I love exploring creativity through various artistic mediums, including sculpting, crocheting, writing poetry, and learning music theory.
