Hi! My name is Jason, and I hold a BFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College and a Master of Theological Studies in Theopoetics from Harvard Divinity School. I'm a poet, writer, researcher and educator eager to help students successfully traverse their path to academic excellence and achievement. I'm an award-winning, regularly-publishing poet and author whose writing was recently featured by Oxford University’s Research Centre in the Humanities and The Graduate Journal of Harvard Divinity School, among other places. Along with tutoring for Learner, I teach for Harvard's Poetry in America program, in affiliation with the eponymous PBS television series and in conjunction with the National Education Equity Lab and ASU, and am also a research mentor for Indigo Research. I've taught English at the University of New Hampshire and have worked as a writing and publishing mentor for AWP’s Writer to Writer mentorship program, as well. For more about me, feel free to visit my scholar profile at scholar.harvard.edu/jsheets. I look forward to working with you!

Teaching Veterans first-year English composition after Covid taught me patience and the importance of holistically teaching individual minds and not collective "students."
