About Me

I'm an experienced teacher with over seven years of expertise teaching math and ESL to students in grades 5-9. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Molloy University (NY) and a Master's degree from the Universidad de Alcalá (Madrid, Spain).

Tutoring Style

I'm an enthusiastic teacher passionate about helping students succeed by tailoring every session to their unique learning styles and needs. I focus on building a strong understanding of concepts, emphasizing the "why" behind the "how" so students can solve problems independently. With an upbeat approach, I foster a positive learning environment where students can confidently thrive.

Success Story

I'm particularly proud of my work with a middle school student who was considered "un-tutorial" in algebra after three previous tutors. He was struggling academically and facing the possibility of expulsion. Through dedicated effort and personalized support, he gained the confidence and skills to not only pass but excel, ultimately landing in the top 5 of his class. Witnessing his transformation and newfound interest in learning has been incredibly rewarding.

Hobbies & Interests

When I'm not tutoring, I love to explore the world around me, both through books and outdoor adventures. You'll often find me with my nose in a book – anything from historical accounts to science fiction – as I try to read at least once a month. I'm also an avid rock climber, swimmer, and kayaker, and enjoy staying active with weightlifting. Being outdoors and challenging myself physically and mentally is my ideal way to unwind.
