I am a National Board-Certified Teacher with 20 years of experience teaching multiple levels of physics. AP Physics 1, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism are my specialty. I know the common mistakes students make on these exams and the type of responses needed for top scores. I have a wide array of exam resources and will teach you the specific test taking strategies needed in order succeed on these exams.
In my personal opinion, the best educator will always be experience. I try to provide each student opportunities to "experience" the material that is being taught. Whether it be physical demonstrations, online simulations, or discussions about their observations in the physical world, I make sure that the time I spend with each student is a true experience that they can relate to and remember.
I recently had a student come to me that was on the verge of dropping their physics course. They felt like it was a foreign language and impossible to understand. After just a few lessons they had completely lost their fear of the class and worked their way to achieving top scores. They now are considering applying to colleges with an engineering major.
I love to exercise and golf. I also have been a tennis coach and instructor for nearly 25 years. I am a classic nerd and love Star Wars and all the Back to the Future movies (Doc Brown is my idol).
