About Me

I am a certified teacher with about 6 years of teaching experience. I teach the sciences to students from 4th grade through college. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master's degree in Education from William Carey University. I will be graduating with another master's degree in Biology in August.

Tutoring Style

I am very enthusiastic about the sciences and encouraging students to not just pass but learn to love science. I practice meeting my students where they are and bringing them toward the goal. I sympathize with their struggle and provide the tools they need to overcome those obstacles.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories was when I was teaching high school chemistry. I had a student who was dedicated to making good grades but struggled and had to work for every A she made. Chemistry was hard on her but we worked together diligently, tying chemistry concepts to real-life examples, for her to pass with an A!

Hobbies & Interests

I read quite a bit. When I'm not reading, I love gardening. I play some mobile games and some switch video games. I also like putting together puzzles and drinking hot drinks like tea, coffee, matcha, etc.
