I graduated from Chico State with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development (2020) and from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a Master’s degree in Education and combined Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential (2021).
Elementary school and middle school learners.
I build a foundation of connection and creative influence to make learning fun, exciting, and approachable. I am passionate about discovering ways to fulfill each student’s unique needs and reach their individual goals.
Last year I was teaching 2nd grade remotely when I noticed one of my students struggling with reading and vocabulary. I began having bi-weekly individual meetings with the student where we read, played games, reviewed vocabulary, and developed comprehension. Our relationship grew deeper with each meeting, and soon he began to have better attendance in class. Within 8 weeks he was on track with his reading and vocabulary and was excited to continue learning. Seeing him go from being very uninvolved to being completely confident and happy reinforced my love of individual tutoring.
In my free time I love to take my corgi, Sunny, on long walks. I love painting, drawing, crafting and creating. I am also passionate about mental health and enjoy practicing yoga and meditation in my free time.
