I am a certified math teacher with over 15 years experience teaching and tutoring Middle High School Students. I am passionate about building my students' confidence and skills. With my experience I know how to address the needs of my learners and lead them to success applying strategies that increase their comprehension and accuracy.

My tutoring style: 

My approach is to assess the learner’s preferred modality for mastering instruction and to base tutorial sessions on incorporating those supports for the learner's individual learning style. I meet my students where they are - with the expectation from the start that they will succeed - and guide them with positive feedback to their success.

Success story: 

During my teaching career, it is the Thank you notes from my students and their parents that I treasure the most. But one note in particular was a letter I received at the end of last year, from a student that was inviting me to her High School graduation. It was four years after I taught her in 8th grade Math. She thanked me for challenging her and teaching her to never give up, that it was just a little fix. Math became her favorite subject.

Hobbies and interests: 

My family loves to travel; we have been to Germany, France, Spain, England, Canada and Mexico. I love learning about different cultures and food. I also love to exercise, walk, read, and cook.
