I am an experienced test prep tutor with more than 5 years of experience in classroom and one-on-one sessions teaching all sections of the SAT and ACT to high school students. I have a bachelor's degree from the Washington University in St. Louis and I tutor grades 3-12.

My Tutoring Style:

I am an enthusiastic teacher, passionate about helping students feel comfortable taking the SAT and ACT. I adapt my teaching style to the needs of my student, going slow and repeating myself if needed or jumping to meet their level. I enforce the topics we learn together by reviewing them until the student feel comfortable with the material.

Success Story:

One of my favorite success stories is when I helped a dyslexic student raise his score on the reading section of the SAT by 300 points. Initially, he was severely anxious about the reading section in particular and shied away from reading aloud in our sessions. We met twice a week for 3 months exploring reading strategies which focused more on the questions and less on the passage. He is now pursuing a business at his target school.
