About Me

I have been a Test Prep tutor for over three years, specializing in the SAT and ACT. However, I have experience in tutoring grades 1-12 for Math/ELA subjects and specialized enrichment programs. I studied Architecture and Entrepreneurship at Washington University in St. Louis.

Tutoring Style

I am very passionate about helping my students reach their academic goals because I know how stressful it can be at this time in their lives. I want to make sure I am making a positive impact on their lives, ensuring they develop good study habits and progress consistently throughout the lessons. I make sure my lessons are very interactive and engaging, and while I may move fast, I make sure every student knows it is okay to ask questions at any time. Each student has specific individual needs, so I am able to adjust my approach when necessary based on those needs.

Success Story

One of my most memorable success stories is when I helped an ACT student reach their score goals despite their lower starting score. The family was cautiously optimistic when we started the program, but they made it clear to me early on that their son needed to reach a specific score goal in order to qualify for a scholarship and afford college after high school. This student was a bit resistant at first, but throughout the program, I worked with him and we saw consistent improvement until his official ACT. The family called me when they received the official results with a ton of excitement and surprise their son was able to reach his score goal and qualify for his scholarship. I will never forget this experience since I felt like I made a positive impact on the world!

Hobbies & Interests

I love to ski, make music, create art, explore and hike with my two dogs, play video games, and play a variety of sports (soccer, volleyball, golf, and disc golf).
