About Me

I have been a tutor for the past three years, and I have a lot of experience tutoring students in grades 1-12 for Math and ELA subjects. I specialize in creating Enrichment Programs for a wide variety of subjects, ensuring students are staying on track for their academic goals. I studied Architecture and Entrepreneurship at Washington University in St. Louis.

Tutoring Style

I am very passionate about helping my students reach their academic goals because I know how stressful it can be at this time in their lives. I want to make sure I am making a positive impact on their lives, ensuring they develop good study habits and progress consistently throughout the lessons. I make sure my lessons are very interactive and engaging, and while I may move fast, I make sure every student knows it is okay to ask questions at any time. Each student has specific individual needs, so I am able to adjust my approach when necessary based on those needs.

Success Story

One of my favorite success stories is when I joined a tutoring program that provided a classroom after school for students in Chicago. The goal of this program was to keep students engaged in academics since many of their parents worked past 5 pm and were unable to pick up their kids directly after school ended. The first student I had was a 3rd grader and was very quiet and shy at first, but after helping him with his homework and working on academic skills he wanted to improve, he quickly became a much more lively student during our lessons. He was not only able to improve his grades in school but he also stayed consistently engaged during our lessons. However, after a few months of working together, he was assigned a new seat in the club and subsequently a new tutor. During our last lesson together he mentioned I was his "favorite teacher" he had. I am so happy I could make a positive impact on this student's life!

Hobbies & Interests

I love to ski, make music, create art, explore and hike with my two dogs, play video games, and play a variety of sports (soccer, volleyball, golf, and disc golf).
